Make- Do Pincushions

My mom and I both have a weakness for pincushions. We both collect antique and vintage pincushions as well as other sewing items. So, last year, we began gathering up items that we could use to create "make-do" pincushions with. For about a week, I sat and made pincushions out of everything I could figure out how to put fabric into. I had a lot of fun making them, and was able to re purpose quite a few items that would not have been very usable otherwise.

I am very pleased that my pincushions will be for sale at MaryJanesFarm Store in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and at her Bed & Breakfast in Moscow, Idaho. MaryJane Butters publishes one of the
loveliest magazines, as well as several beautiful books. They are full of delicious recipes, useful projects, and interesting information, not to mention the gorgeous photographs, which are mostly taken by MaryJane herself. If you have the opportunity to visit her lovely store, keep your eye out for my pincushions!

We are going to be listing some vintage items from our shop on Etsy over the next few weeks. You can check out what we already have listed by clicking on the link on the right side of the blog, or you can click the link here. More coming soon, so be sure to check back!
