Pumpkins!

Last weekend we went to the pumpkin patch to gather pumpkins, gourds, & cornstalks for our Fall Barn Bazaar Art & Antique Show. We always have so much fun doing this, and my son especially loves it. There are so many wonderful varieties of pumpkins and gourds to choose from and since it's just before the big selling season, there aren't too many people out at the pumpkin patch. It's a little more work than later on in the season since the fields haven't been mowed yet and the vines are still about waist high. You really have to hunt for the pumpkins! We also got to chop down our own corn stalks and my son got to pick a few strawberries to munch on the way to the feed store for a trailer load of straw bales. It was a wonderful day. Now all we have to do is decorate!
